Every crew that goes out needs adults behind it: someone to lead it, someone to help on the day, and people willing to open a gate and hand over a real community project. If that sounds like you, this is where to start.

    Lead a crew

    Apply to lead a crew of 4 to 6 kids on community projects. You'll mentor, supervise, and make a difference, one project at a time.

    Lend a hand

    Not a parent, and just want to help? Tell us what you are good at and when you are around. Everyone who works alongside a crew is checked first, the same as our crew leaders.

    Community partnerships are part of how this works. If your business or group has a community project that needs doing, something to lend, or another way to support a community project, we would like to hear it.

What we ask

What we ask of volunteers

A short list, and none of it is negotiable.

  • Pass a background check

    Every crew leader is background checked. There is no version of this where that step gets skipped.

  • Never be the only adult

    Every child is supervised by two or more adults at all times. That rule protects you as much as it protects them.

  • Work alongside the crew, not over them

    The community project is the lesson, and it lands better from beside a young person than from above one.

  • Turn up when you said you would

    A crew is 4 to 6 young people who cleared their day for this. That is the whole commitment.
